EXECUTIVE TEAM

Greg Mason, Chief Executive Officer

Greg Mason joined TechMedia Network as Chief Executive Officer in 2012, bringing over twenty years of product development and innovation in technology media and digital publishing. Prior to joining TechMedia Network, Greg served as Executive Vice President of Consumer Services at WebMD. Prior to WebMD, he spent eleven years with CBS Interactive and CNET Networks where he held a variety of global operational roles, culminating in the leadership of the entire technology and news portfolio. Prior to CNET, Greg spent a combined eleven years with Ziff Davis and International Data Group (IDG) in various publisher, sales, and sales management roles.

He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in marketing at the University of Nevada-Reno and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.

Doug Llewellyn, Chief Operating Officer

Doug joined TechMedia Network in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for strategic planning, corporate development activities and the company’s business metrics and operational framework. Prior to joining TechMedia Network, Doug spent two years at Manta Media, the leading online community platform for SMBs. At Manta, he was responsible for partnership strategy and outreach, as well as leading their digital advertising sales team.

Before joining Manta, Doug was with CBS Interactive / CNET Networks for 12 years and held several key operating positions, including Vice President and GM of the B2B portfolio of properties that includes ZDNet, TechRepublic, and SmartPlanet.

He is a graduate of Bucknell University with a BA in Economics and French. Outside of work, Doug enjoys skiing, golf, tennis, and spending time with his family in the mountains.

Mike Kisseberth, Chief Revenue Officer

As Chief Revenue Officer, Mike will oversee TechMedia Network’s multiple advertising revenue streams.  Most recently, Mike was the President and CEO of International Data Group (IDG), where he led the growth of PC World and Macworld, evolving both to digital media and more than doubling the audience size. He also launched a new brand, TechHive, built a marketing services business “Content Works” and dramatically expanded IDG’s mobile and paid product offerings.  Prior to IDG, Mike held high level positions at CNET Networks, Inc serving as SVP/Corporate Sales and Operations, where he led sales efforts and played an active role in implementing business strategies for every brand under the CNET Networks umbrella.

Mike is a graduate of Plymouth State College and an avid skier, road/mountain cyclist and parent.  He and his wife currently reside in the Bay Area with their three children.

Antoine Boulin, President, Media

Antoine Boulin, formerly president of Bestofmedia Group, joined TechMedia Network in 2013 as President, Media. In this role he works closely with sales, marketing, content and product teams to further develop and implement the company’s overall media strategy.

Antoine has spent more than 15 years as a leader in the digital media industry in both the U.S. and Europe. During this time he has held P&L responsibilities at several major media and e-commerce companies. He joined Bestofmedia Group from Pangora, the online shopping division at the time for international media conglomerate, Bertelsmann, where he was a member of the board. Prior to Pangora, Antoine held top positions as the Managing Director of BuyCentral and in marketing for Bestofmicro.

He began his career at Colgate Palmolive and holds an MBA from Essec in Paris.

Randall (Randy) I Bambrough, Chief Financial Officer

Randy is the CFO responsible for all financial oversight for the company. Prior to TechMedia Network, Randy served as CFO of NextG Networks, a leading provider of innovative wireless infrastructure solutions to carriers and played a vital role in the acquisition of the company by a private equity/venture capital syndicate. Prior to that Randy served as CFO at InterVideo, Inc., a DVD software provider. He guided InterVideo through their initial public offering. InterVideo was later acquired by Corel Corporation. Prior to InterVideo, Randy served as Vice-President of Finance at Optibase Ltd., a provider of digital media transmission devices. Prior to Optibase, Randy served as CFO of ViewGraphics, (which was later acquired by Optibase), CFO and cofounder of Decide.com, a consumer web site for wireless and other telecommunications products and services, and CFO of Castelle, a networking peripherals company that he assisted in taking public. In addition, Randy held various financial management positions at Daisy Systems Inc. and Iomega Corporation. He has also served as President of the Silicon Valley Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) with its 676 chapter members, a professional organization for senior corporate financial executives. He has been a Lecturer in Finance at the Leavy School of Business at Santa Clara University.

Randy earned a B.S. in business management from Brigham Young University, another B.S. in accounting from Weber State University, an M.B.A. from Utah State University, and a Doctor of Management from Case Western Reserve University and a Post-Doctoral Bridge from the University of Florida in Finance and Accounting.

Robert Roy Britt, Chief Content Officer

Rob has been producing internet content since the mid-1990s. He was a writer, editor and Director of Site Operations at SPACE.com starting in 1999. He served as Managing Editor of LiveScience since its launch in 2004. He now oversees news operations for the TechMedia Network’s growing suite of technology, science and business news sites. Prior to joining the company, Rob was an editor at The Star-Ledger in New Jersey. He has a journalism degree from Humboldt State University in California.

John Potter, Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, John Potter brings a wealth of experience with him, having spent over a decade with CBS Interactive/CNET,where he heldmany roles. Most recently he served as Vice President, Software Engineering, where he managed a staff of 100+ developers in support of brands like CNET, CBS News, ZDNet and Download.com

John holds multiple patents for his system designs that improve Internet connectivity and document classification.  He holds a bachelors and masters degree from University of Massachusetts.  John resides in the Bay Area and will be spending the majority of his time in TechMedia Network’s Ogden office.

Kurt Tietjen, Chief Traffic Officer

Prior to joining TechMedia Network, he served as the SVP of Operations at TheStreet, a leading online financial news publisher. Kurt was responsible for product strategy and traffic growth across TheStreets’ network of sites. Kurt has held positions in internet companies such as iVillage, Juno Online Services, FortuneCity/MyPhotoAlbum as well as early eProduct work at Fodor’s Travel Publications, a division of Random House Publishing.

Kurt has a BS in Accounting from Wilkes College with minors in Computer Science and Economics. Kurt also earned an MBA with a concentration in Information Systems from Long Island University.

In his spare time, Kurt either heads into the outdoors with camera in hand or relaxes with a guitar in his hands.

DeLonie Call, Chief People Officer

DeLonie Call joined TechMedia Network as Vice President of Human Resources with 20 years experience in management and executive-level human resources positions.

She has extensive HR leadership experience in technology companies including Vice President of Human Resources for ClearOne Communications, where she received recognition for her contribution to attracting and retaining talent.

She also held positions of Director of Human Resources at Iomega Corp. and Vitrex, as Vice President Human Resources. She served as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Council for the Goddard School of Business at Weber State University.

Ms. Call graduated from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business management and economics.

Jerry Ropelato, Founder, TechMedia Network

Jerry Ropelato founded TechMedia Network, Inc., in 2003 and continues to serve on our board of directors. In addition to his extensive technology and management experience, Mr. Ropelato is an accomplished entrepreneur who has started and built multiple successful businesses. He has gained a reputation for his contribution to internet marketing.

Prior to TechMedia Network, Mr. Ropelato served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer of ContentWatch, Inc. and Chief Technology Officer of iAccess. He co-founded Vitrex, Inc., in 1993 and served as Chief Executive Officer & President.

Jerry is an accomplished public speaker, recognized anti-pornography expert and author of two technology/marketing books “iSeries Visual Age for Java” and soon to be released, “Internet Catapults”.

Alfred Vericel, Founder and Worldwide CEO, Bestofmedia Group

As the visionary leader of Bestofmedia, Alfred was responsible for setting the long-term strategic direction of the company and driving its efforts to develop advertising and content publishing solutions that move the tech media industry forward.

Alfred founded his first company Reducmicro, a technology-focused e-commerce venture, in 1993 at the age of 21. After growing the company into a successful online business, he sold it to a French start-up to help fund his next venture, Bestofmedia Group. Over the course of 15 years as an executive in the technology and media industries, Alfred has successfully acquired and sold over 12 companies, including his acquisitions of Tom’s Hardware and Computing.net to help grow Bestofmedia Group into a leading digital media publisher.

A consummate entrepreneur, Alfred filed for his first patent when he was just 16 years old. He later went on to attend ISG business school in Paris before he left to start his first online company.

Ralph Terkowitz, General Partner ABS Capital Partners

Prior to joining ABS Capital in 2004, Ralph served as CIO/CTO of The Washington Post Company. During his tenure, Ralph worked with the Post’s six divisions on all major technology and development operations and investments.

From 1996 to 2003, he had primary responsibility for The Washington Post’s venture investment portfolio. Under his direction, performance exceeded that of other corporate venture investors who manage for both strategic value and investment returns. Also while at The Washington Post, Ralph served as founder and CEO of its electronic publishing subsidiary.

The subsidiary became known for both its product innovation and new revenue models for electronic media. One of the products Ralph created, washingtonpost.com, continues to be among the most visited news and information sites on the Internet.

Jerry Ropelato founded TechMedia Network, Inc., in 2003 and continues to serve on our board of directors. He has gained a reputation for his contribution to internet marketing.

Bo Peabody, Managing General Partner of Village Ventures

Bo is co-founder and Managing General Partner of Village Ventures. Village Ventures is itself an early stage venture firm with $150 million under management as well as services and knowledge sharing platform serving a network of 14 venture funds with $500 million under management.

In 1992, Bo founded Tripod, Inc., one of the original social networks. Tripod was sold to Lycos in 1998 and Bo became Vice President of Network Strategy. Lycos was sold to Spain’s Terra Networks in 2001. In 1998, Bo co-founded Streetmail (now called Waterfront Media); in 2000, he co-founded VoodooVox; in 2004, he co-founded FullTurn Media; and in 2006 he co-founded UplayMe. Bo also co-owns Mezze, Inc, a hospitality group consisting of three award-winning restaurants.
Bo is an expert in consumer-oriented businesses and is an investor and board member in Makeover Solutions, Mixaloo, and Kluster, as well as an investor in DigiSynd. He is featured regularly in major business and consumer publications, and he has received numerous honors. Bo wrote a book for entrepreneurs called Lucky or Smart?, which was published by Random House in January 2005.

A graduate of Williams College, Bo resides in New York City and Williamstown, Massachusetts. He is on the board of The Academy at Charlemont and The Williamstown Theater Festival.

Mark Solon, Highway 12 Ventures

Before co-founding Highway 12 Ventures in 2000, Mark was a general partner at Atlantic Capital Group, a Boston-based private equity firm which provided early-stage funding to companies worldwide. ACG also provided consulting services for local governments and companies in the former Soviet Union. While at ACG, Mark made investments in manufacturing, high-tech, and retail distribution sectors.
Prior to his career in venture capital, he spent nearly 10 years in the financial services industry.

Mark is a director of multiple Highway 12 portfolio companies as well as the Rocky Mountain Venture Capital Association. He is also on the advisory board of the College of Engineering at Boise State University.

Active in the Boise community, he is formerly President of the Board of Directors of the Discovery Center of Idaho and currently serves on The Idaho Business Coalition for Education Excellence. Mark attended Lehigh University. He continues to chip away at a lifetime golf habit, and enjoys camping in the back country of Idaho with his family and friends.

Jack Haire, CEO of Parade

Jack Haire is a 25 year veteran of Time Warner (1978-2006). Most recently appointed as head of Parade Magazine, Haire has also been President of the Time Inc Sales & Marketing division and the Chairman of the Time Warner Advertising Council, which was responsible for the development and sale of the company’s largest advertising contracts.

Earlier in his career, Haire served as publisher of TIME Magazine from 1993 through 1998. From 1998 through 2001, Haire served as the President of the Fortune/Money Group. He helped Fortune to achieve its best years in circulation, advertising and market share, and partnered with CNN on the launch of CNNMoney.com, one of the Web’s most successful and profitable finance sites. On his watch, both Time Magazine and Fortune were chosen as Adweek’s Hottest Magazine, measured by 3 year advertising growth.

Haire formed his new company, Haire Media Ventures in 2007. He has advised numerous companies on innovative advertising and distribution strategies, including CNET Networks, Quigo Technologies, Hallmark, Outbrain, UpCompany and many others.

Paul Mariani, Principal ABS Capital Partners

Prior to joining ABS Capital in 2003, Paul worked in the technology investment banking divisions of Robertson Stephens and Soundview Technology Group, where he worked on numerous lead-managed public offerings, M&A and capital raising transactions.
